What is needed for cooking

- 500 g of salted herring fillets;
4-5 potato tubers;

In order to prepare a classic salad, you do not need to add salt, because there is already a salted herring fillet in it. It is better to buy not the fillet, but the whole salted fish, as its meat is more tender . Of course, you have to spend time removing pits and peel, but the taste of the dish will become much more pleasant.
Vegetables, except for onions, must be boiled until fully cooked. When they cool, they need to be peeled and grinded separately on a large grater. Chicken eggs boil hard and leave to cool in cold water. So it will be easier to remove from their shell.
How to decorate a dish
For the dish, you need to prepare a nice flat plate or a special herringbone. Layers begin to spread with herring fillets. Cut it can be small or fairly large, it all depends on the predilection of the hostess. Gently spread the chopped herring on a plate, it is greased with mayonnaise.
In the second layer, put onions. Slice it with thin semirings. To rid the vegetable of a sharp bitter taste, it is recommended to scald the half rings with boiling water. Long keep the onions in hot water should not, he will lose a crunch.
